The Future of Moorlands

We know Moorlands means so much to our students, families, staff, and community, and the news that our school is included in potential closure recommendations as part of the Enrollment and Boundary Review (EDAC) brings uncertainty and difficult emotions. No decisions have been made, and the School Board is scheduled to vote on March 8, 2027.
Families can learn more and share their voices at the following meetings:
Oct. 26 (5pm) | School Board Study Session: Livestream via the School Board Website. EDAC recommendations will be presented publicly for the first time.
Nov. 2 (5:30-7pm) | Moorlands Family Meeting: In the Moorlands Gym. District staff will be present to present inforamtion, timeline, answer questions, and gather feedback.
Nov. 10 (7pm) | Moorlands PTA General Meeting: In the Moorlands Library and on Zoom. A district representative will be present to answer community questions and continue dialogue regarding school closures.

As we navigate this news together, we’re looking forward to Moorlands Pride Week this coming week! Our school and PTA have many more events and activities planned throughout the year, and we hope these opportunities to come together, make memories, and celebrate what makes Moorlands special will remind us of the strength of our community.
