The Math Challenge program is a free school-wide math enrichment program for elementary students consisting of series of challenging and interesting math.  Students can participate online only or participate in work groups at school.  See scheduled times below.

The program provides 15 sets of challenges throughout the school year; each set is published intermittently (schedule provided) starting in late September or early October and ending in May. These math challenges cover problem solving strategies such as draw a picture or model, make an organized list, look for a pattern, working backward, and guess and check. Each challenge presents 10 to 18 problems ordered by level of difficulties which enables students from various grades to participate.

What are the benefits of the Math Challenge Program?

The purpose of this program is to entice, engage and challenge students to solve interesting math problems while along the way, strengthen their math fundamentals, critical thinking, problem solving skills and improve confidence in math.  Students can also involve their families to help and engage in a fun discussion to solve math problems.
