Moorlands PTA offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year.  Here are just a few for which we are currently seeking volunteers.

Staff Appreciation Chairperson(s) Needed

We are in need of a volunteer or two to serve as Chairperson(s) of the Staff Appreciation Committee.  Chairs would be responsible for helping organize monthly and year-end staff appreciation activities.  To inquire about this opportunity, e-mail volunteers@moorlandspta.org. 

Science Fair - Saturday, March 13, 11:00-2:00

Volunteers are needed to help with set-up and clean-up for the Science Fair.  Set up will occur on Friday, March 12, at 2:00.  Clean-up will occur at 2:00 on Saturday, March 13.  To volunteer, e-mail Laura Parpart at scifair@moorlandspta.org.

Community Service Project:  Teen Feed - Friday, March 19

Volunteers are needed to help prepare and deliver dinner to 50-60 at risk teens at the Teen Union Building in Kirkland.  To learn more about this opportunity, visit the Community Service Page by clicking here.

Auction Planning Committee

It is time to begin planning for Moorlands PTA's next auction to be held in 2011.  We are looking for four or five (or more) individuals who would be interested getting the planning process rolling.  To learn more, click here to visit the Auction page of the PTA Website.

Become a Breakfast Buddy - Help on a Weekly, Bi-weekly and Monthly Basis

Did you know that due to the lack of available adult supervision, students who eat breakfast at Moorlands traditionally had to eat outside?  This can often be difficult and uncomfortable, especially when our area's more inclimate weather arrives.  But you can help by becoming a "Breakfast Buddy."  Opportunities to help are available on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis.  To learn more and sign up, go to www.mysignup.com/moorlandsbreakfastbuddies.

Calling All Bakers!
