This year we are happy to announce that the Moorlands Chess Club will run the entire school year. This will allow interested students to participate in tournments that are held in the fall and increase their knowledge and interest in the game. Information for the 2011-12 year is now available.
Once again we will be partnering with the Chess 4 Life organization to provide students with top notch chess instruction.

Winter Qtr Dates: Jan 12-Mar 8 2012 (no class 2/23) meetsThursdays in the library from 3:05-4:05pm. Parent/guardians are required to be there by 4pm for pick up. 5th Graders may miss the last class due to Outdoor Enrichment camp that week.
Cost: $100 for 8 session quarter (that's only $12.50 per class!). Registration is limited to 32 students and class fills up quickly, so register early to reserve your place!
The PTA is looking for a parent volunteer to assist the Chess4Life staff in managing the program. Knowledge of chess is not required! If you are interested or have questions please contact Rich Bennett at chessclub@moorlandspts.org
