The Moorlands PTA Book Exchange will be taking place from Tuesday, June 1 - Friday, June 4. This annual event provides students an opportunity to donate good quality used books, receive vouchers for the books they donate, and then redeem their vouchers for "new" books from those collected.
Volunteers are needed to help in the following capacities:
- Tuesday, June 1, and Wednesday, June 2, from 12:00-1:40: Collect books from students during recess, record the "points" they receive for their books. Sort the books into boxes and store in the PTA portable at the end of the shift.
- Wednesday, June 2, from 1:00-3:00: Set up and organize books on tables in the library to prepare for Exchange Day.
- Thursday, June 3 - Exchange Day: Exchange books for vouchers from students and help students find books. There are four shifts during the day: 8:45-10:30, 10:30-12:00, 12:00-1:30, and 1:30-2:30. Volunteers who sign up for the last shift of the day will also re-organize books in preparation for Friday.
- Friday, June 4, from 12:00-1:30 - Help students without vouchers who can come in during recess pick out one book.
- Friday, June 4, from 1:30-2:30 - Help box up remaining books to go to Northshore Youth and Family Services; and help put away tables.
