The Moorlands PTA would like to welcome everyone back to the new school year.
This website serves as the best source of information about what your PTA is doing this year at Moorlands. We hope to keep the information constantly updated so it stays fresh and interesting to everyone so consider adding it to your favorites list. But we also need your help because this is your website run by volunteers: parents just like you. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Would you like to contribute some information? See something that needs correction? Don’t be shy, send us an email we’re happy to hear from you! Our PTA works best when everyone can feel welcome to help out, because remember, “Hand in hand, together we can!”
In an effort to help you become familiar with the site here’s a quick tour of what you can find here:
Home Page: What is the PTA? Click on the link in the quicklinks block in the upper right corner to find out. You will also see shortcuts in the block to our most sought after information like the Weekly Reader and Moorlands homepage. The homepage also features the latest information about what's happening soon with programs and activities. You can also find PTA meeting information, sign up to volunteer, or join the PTA.
Who’s who: This page lists the current executive board and the many committees that make up our PTA. Here you will find names and contacts of those volunteers.
Mustang Messenger: Part newspaper and part blog this page features short articles submitted by parents and students writing about their experiences at the various events around school. Want to know how to contribute click on the Mustang Messenger logo located on the front page!

Hello to all of you who are part of our wonderful Moorlands community! I hope it has been an enjoyable Summer for all.
Can it really be time already???? The 2010-2011 school year is right around the corner, so it's time to ask all of you to help get our school year off to a successful start. We are looking for volunteers to help out with a number of activities during the next few weeks:
Treasurer Vacancy!!!!!
We are still in need of a Treasurer for the upcoming school year. If we do not fill this position soon, it is going to be very difficult to keep our PTA running smoothly. If you or someone you know has a good financial understanding and would be willing to help the PTA in this very important capacity, please contact Bob Graff at volunteers@moorlandspta.org.
Traffic and Safety Assistance - Sept. 1-10
We are in need of numerous volunteers to help with traffic flow and safety assistance during the first two weeks of school. Morning volunteers are needed from 8:20-8:40. Afternoon volunteers are needed from 2:50-3:10. Find out more and sign up by going to www.mysignup.com/moorlandspta_traffic_safety.
